It has been raining in Sydney for the past few days, badly needed rain I should say since we have been in drought for the past few years....
There is something about rain that triggers a feeling of calmness within me. For some reason, I feel like whatever emotional clutter I,ve got within is being washed away by the rain as well...
that is until new clutters build up again....
and the cycle continues...

crazy hair
crazy hair day at richelle's school today....a day when you could do crazy things on your as long as you donate a gold coin ($1 or$2). A perfect opportunity day to go crazy for a good cause ( siguro pang facelift ng principal or pa-lipo ng titser nia or pambili yata ng skul printer - ganun!) . So Nana decided to put flowers on Richelle's hair.
For me lang ha, it does not reflect her Filipino identity - it would have been a rare opportunity to showcase her roots.
Pwede pang kantahin for versatility, laban ka?
O di naman kaya to pay homage to her kapampangan heritage eh tocino at langgonisa, dagdagan mo pa ng turones de casoy at tamalis, and for maximum impact lagyan mo ng konting burong tagilaw/tagilo- di ba mas may arrive???

Just click pics to enlarge....

an early winter morning walk
It's Monday again...this Monday is worse than the other Mondays because it happens to be a Monday after three consecutive days off. I look outside my frosted window and realize that winter has settled in. Ahhh.... a long sigh...another day, another dollar...
It takes about twenty minutes for me to get to work- on foot. The alternative is a three minute train ride plus eight minutes walking time to and from the station. I always walk except at times when I finish very late at night or the occassional rainy day...
This is a visual feast of photos I took last Monday as I walk to work in a winter morning.
The early morning fog is starting to clear when I started my journey, what followed is a kalaedoscope of scenes that lifts my spirit up every morning...the last splash of colours from the leaves about to fall to the ground, lorikeets happily chirping on the branches of gum trees, grasses still frosted from the night before...all these make a beautiful start on my day.It takes about twenty minutes for me to get to work- on foot. The alternative is a three minute train ride plus eight minutes walking time to and from the station. I always walk except at times when I finish very late at night or the occassional rainy day...

I feel so blessed for having the privilege of looking at this visual feast at the start of my day. It sort of serve as a calm moment before i start the daily grind called work. When I knock off, it's dark outside despite the fact that it is only 5:30 p.m. Ahhh... a long sigh...another day gone, another dollar earned.

Eh kasi Daddy...

Madalang pa sa patak ng ulan dito sa Sydney ang magkaroon ako ng tatlong araw na sunod sunod na day off from work. Feeling ko I deserve it kasi masyado nga ang stress from work lately.
Pasensya na sa outfit dahil kagigising lang - di ko kasi nakaugalian ang mag shirt and tie at kumanta ng- "I'm gonna knock on your door, ring on your bell, tap on your window too..." habang nagva-vacuum...tulad ng mga Electrolux sales men. hehehheheh....
"RAISSA!!!!!!!!!!!"
"yes Dad....'"YOU NEVER LEARN RAISSA , YOU ALWAYS LEAVE ALL YOUR THINGS WHEREVER!!!"
" eh daddy..."
"LOOK AT ALL THE SHOESESES- THE'RE ALL OVER THE PLACE- WHAT IF YOUR GRANDMA TIPS OVER!!!!
"eh daddy nga..."
"PURO KA EH DADDY, PURO KA EH DADDY--------ANO????'
"eh daddy, all the kalat are yours- the black shoes are your hush puppies for work, the white ones are your sport shoes...."
Sabi nga ng iba - when all else fails- use your AUTHORITY. So ang ending---
"LIGPITIN MO NA LANG KASI RAISSA!"
Sunod naman ang bata.....wagi!
